German Clothes – At The Forefront of Today’s Fashion World

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Today’s German clothes have taken a severe turn from those of years ago. The clothes German people are wearing nowadays no longer tell us of their status by way of color and style. This is because the highly rated German fashion houses produce a less expensive version of the haute couture designs for the rich and famous, to enable more or less any budget the pleasure of affording such fabulous examples of fashion.

Within the top name German fashion artists of today you will find garments of a classic traditional style as well as a very off the wall variety of clothing. German clothes are proud to take their place at the forefront of today’s fashion world whether designed by a long standing fashion house or by new and young talented designers.

The Clear Classic Style of German Clothes

In day to day life, Germans are inclined to concentrate on the more down-to-earth fashions. As well as practical business clothes they tend to favor informal sportswear, such as Strenesse and Boss and although these two labels have their headquarters in the south of Germany, they have been established for many years on the international markets.

German Fashion Design

Germany’s high fashion features firmly on the international catwalks. Designers such as Jil Sander and Wolfgang Joop have been global players for over twenty years, the latter having recently taken pleasure in remarkable success with his sensational new “Wunderkind Couture” label. The big galas and balls in cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich are regular showcases for the successes of German fashion-makers like Escada, Unrath & Strano, Talbot Runhof and Anna von Griesheim – who are not only popular with the high society of Germany.

There are ample opportunities to experiment with fashion in the larger German cities where a host of artistic fashion designers produce strong competition to the London and Paris fashion houses. The “bread and butter” fashion show has established a valuable position in Berlin, the epicenter of creativeness.

Insiders have been familiar for a long time with the new German fashion avant-garde, consisting of Coration, Eisdieler, Kostas Murkudis, Sabotage and Thatchers from Berlin, as well as Anja Gockel from Mainz, Blutsgeschwister from Stuttgart, and Susanne Bommer from Munich. Young German fashion designers such Markus Lupfer, Dirk Sch

Ashlee Simpson and the World of Punk Fashion

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Ashlee Simpson, the younger of Jessica Simpson, has always been known for her punk fashion. Among her favorite fashion designers are Alexander McQueen, Vans, Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters, Juicy couture, Louis vuitton, D&G, Free People, Balenciaga and Rich & Skinny.

Her street style is very casual with an edge of skater punk. She is most usually seen sporting hooded sweatshirts, with a pair of denim faded jeans and slip-on Vans.

As the style of Ashlee Simpson, punk fashion has been fast growing in popularity over the years. Punk fashion refers to a style of dressing that comes within the confines of punk subculture. When punk music was established in the early nineteen seventies, it became inevitable that the fashion industry should follow. What we are doing now is trying to emulate the lost fashion of the punk past.

Vivienne Westwood is one designer who helped a lot in influencing the punk fashion from that time by using famous punk icons such as Ramones. Their fashion include vulgar clothing, tattered tees, controversial images, studded jackets and anarchy symbols.

Later on, there was the bondage style clothing which was all about corduroy straps attached to the pants and thick chain straps, and tapered jeans. The hairstyles also followed which was all about radically colored brightly dyed hair.

Ten years after, it became revolutionized, with the importance of shock factor and wearing combat boots. Plaid skirts, heavy chains and tattered jeans for clothes. Piercings, tattoos, Mohawks and liberty spikes was normal for most people walking down the street.

Today, in this modern day and age, not a lot of things have changed. The most popular sense of clothing is the Do it Yourself type of clothing which was just as popular today like when it started before. However, the genera population of punks would wear simple tees or hoodies. Most of the punks these days, will pay honor and respect to the original 1970?s look. Punk fashion is highly entertaining, indeed.

The World Wide Fashion Craze That is Ed Hardy Clothing

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

With all of the television buzz and celebrity gossip that surrounds us, not to mention our fast-paced lifestyles, we are sometimes left with little time to focus on fashion. Maybe that’s why when a brand comes along that demands our attention, we can’t help but jump on the bandwagon. Ed Hardy’s unmistakable style and passion will draw you in whether you are seeking it out or not. Whatever the reason, Ed Hardy is a brand that the world just can’t seem to get enough of.

Don Ed Hardy, the “godfather of the modern tattoo”, took his California influence and combined it with Asian inspirations to come up with the unique style that defines the Ed Hardy clothing line. Hardy began his career as a tattoo artist in San Francisco, and later decided to merge his artwork into fashion design. The rest is history.

In 2002, the Ed Hardy brand came into the public eye when Don Ed Hardy was approached by Ku USA, Inc. The company was interested in producing a clothing line that would feature Hardy’s artwork. Hardy Life immediately took off, and in only two years became a major fashion spotlight.

The Ed Hardy line skyrocketed in 2004 with the help of French designer Christian Audigier, who shares Hardy’s passion for bold, colorful art and design. The primary force behind the rise of Von Dutch, Audigier linked Ed Hardy to the celebrity world, pushing the brand to the same, if not higher status that he helped Von Dutch to reach.

Madonna, Paris Hilton, Shaquille O’Neal, Busta Rhymes, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Denise Richards, Pharrell, Sylvester Stallone, and Shakira have all been seen sporting Ed Hardy.

The major defining point of Ed Hardy clothing is that the pieces are modeled from original tattoos, making them truly unique. Ed Hardy’s mesmerizing imagery and vivid colors yield a clothing line that is not only trend setting, but industry changing.

Ed Hardy is more than just clothing…it’s art, its counter culture, it’s a world wide phenomenom. The Ed Hardy line has become an authority on what’s hot and cool in the trendsetting urban markets. It’s clear that their sucecess will continue to build momentum and the Ed Hardy / Christian Audigier team are revolutionizing modern fashion design, as the create fashion history.

The Mystifying and Powerful World of Japanese Fashion

Friday, February 6th, 2009

Many would say that fashion is an expression of the culture and soul, hence every nation has a unique reflection of its own history as well as traditions in one way or another.

Japanese fashion is no exception to this sentiment. This article will go into a few details of how it has changed throughout the years while always remaining intact in its traditions.

The Past and the Present

One of the most traditional and common Japanese fashion outfits is the Kimono; it is still worn today in more modern designs, it was also embraced by the Western nations because of its sensuality as well as elegance.

Throughout the years Japanese fashion saw very few changes but throughout the years the Kimono was a dominant part of the classic collection and consistently a part of their lives in one form or another. Another kind of Kimono is the Furisode which is worn by young women in their twenties; in Japan the age to legally drink and smoke is twenty and in order to celebrate the parent frequently offer their daughters a Furisode.

Then the Houmongi takes the stage. This is another kind of Kimono that is worn by married women and similar to the Furisode the parents will give their daughter one when she is married.

The formal Kimono is known as Tomesode and is typically worn by married women to social functions such as marriages. Additional variations include the Mofuku which is the funeral Kimono for Japanese fashion and the Uchikake is the wedding Kimono.

Last but certainly not least the Obi is the oldest form of the Japanese fashion as they are no longer in production today and rarely will you find someone wearing this type even in Japan.

Modern Japanese fashion generally has several categories in addition to some that are not related to clothes. The Japanese fashion known as the Kogal is translated in Japan to people who enjoy displaying their higher income by wearing expensive jewelry or clothes.

The Gangoro Japanese fashion is designed for those people who began changing their hair color and then you have the Lolita as the Gothic Lolita Japanese fashion, which is being represented by the innocent and sweet dressed (Lolita) all the way to the other extreme type referred to as punk fashion, which is known as Gothic Lolitas.

The Eternal Fashion

The world of classic fashion is eternal throughout the world and Japanese fashion has their Kimonos to prove it. The use of colors also plays a large part in the world of Japanese fashion as well as their culture as it is directly correlated to the event. Fashion not only reflects and defines an era and a place in time but also the character and personality of the person who is wearing it.

Personal Website is Necessary For Models to Get Exposure in Fashion World

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Now a day, there is a tough competition in fashion industries for male and female models who wants to make their career in modeling. Aspiring models who has enough talent and beautiful face are still not getting much more exposure because of so many reason.

Some of them are

1) They are not getting much more peoples attention or get limited attention which will bound their progress

2) They are keeping modeling as a part time business which does not attract modeling agency and talent agency

3) They do not bother regarding their online presence thru making their modeling website or modeling portfolio.

In today’s world, male and female models small mistake or quite laziness throws out from fashion worlds. It’s a nature of people who always want new face in front of them but for models, it’s a creating lot of competition for them. So the question is how can they get more popularity and people’s attention? The answer is that they need to give much more important on their online presence. Ideal suggestion is that they needs to develop their own personalize website or make their online modeling portfolio. Both have significant difference in terms of advantage and disadvantage.

Why models required personalize website rather then modeling profile on other models site?

1) You can advertise your name through your personalize domain name. How sweet to remember your website address if it’s likes [http://www.yourname.com!]

2) Having your website, you will get your own control over your web page and profile. You do not need to stick or follow others guideline. You will decide which matter you want to highlight and which not.

3) You do not required to pay monthly paid membership charge to modeling website which is recurring regularly. Once you stop paying, your profile will not display on the site. So all your previous investment will lose.

4) You will get rid of useless banner advertisement and Google ad sense from your profile pages. Now it will on your own control. What to show on your website is 100% in your control. So your portfolio gets more proper presentation to casting agency and modeling agency.

5) Casting agency or modeling agency can easily contact you because they do not have to pay anyone else to contact you. They can contact you on our own personalize email address or from your own websites’ feedback form.

There are so many website design and development companies have their specialization in models website development. If models are thinking that it’s a costly to spent money for website development then they are making big mistake. It’s not an expense but it’s an investment which is creating your online identity

The World Of Fashion Design

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

The world of fashion is one that has the eyes and ears of a vast amount of people; we watch television, read magazines, and stay tuned to see what the rich and famous are wearing from day to day – and we follow suit. Fashion can change perceptions, impact an entire retail economy, and influence a generation. It’s no wonder that more and more people are interested in joining the world of fashion design.

Fashion design entails the creation and manufacturing of clothing styles. Fashion designers work based on seasons – they design, create, and then introduce their line of clothing on the fashion runways. The clothing that is well-received suddenly makes its way to Hollywood where actors and actresses come decked out in the latest fashion to the latest movie premiers. And what happens on that carpet trickles down to the masses making its way to retail outlets all over the country in more affordable forms.

Fashion design can be a fantastic career journey but it requires a vast amount of skill, education, and hard work. Those interested in fashion design should already possess an innate ability to create beautiful design and effectively communicate them on paper. Such creative fashion enthusiasts should be sure to supplement their skill with formalized education. A fashion design school will teach the fundamentals of design, drawing to scale, textiles, fabrics, sewing, and manufacturing. An education such as this can open up many doors in fashion design.

Following a school program – or even in conjunction with a school program – those pursuing a career in fashion design should be sure to involve themselves in an internship or apprenticeship with a reputable design house. The experience gained in this capacity is unmatched and will begin building your portfolio – your most important tool in a fashion design career.

Fashion design can be a wonderful career filled with adventure, creativity, and a chance to influence clothing choices all across the nation and even around the world.

The Storied History of Fashion from Around the World

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Whether you are a man or a woman, you no doubt try to look your best at any given time, and that is where fashion comes in. When you go to a mall or a boutique, do you ever stop to consider fashion history?

Fashion History Around the World

Fashion has, in some form or another, been around as long as there have been humans. Fashion history thus really started with early people, who used things like shells and animal skins or fur to adorn their bodies. There were special garments worn for special occasions, which is not unlike how humans dress today.

In places like Ancient Greece, fashion history really brought forward the use of naturalism. For example, if you were to look at many ancient sculptures, no doubt you would notice that great pride was taken in the human form, and as such, fashion meant wearing very little clothing.

Fashion history as we know it really started to emerge during the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a time of intellectual and cultural enlightenment, so it only makes sense that fashion should evolve as well. Men and women alike took pride in wearing decorative powdered wigs, a trend that would last until the early 19th century.

As the 17th century came, so did fashion trends that both women and men continued to share in.
For example, buckled shoes, both plan and decorative, depending on the economic privilege of the person wearing them, became quite popular.

Also, men and women started wearing capes to shield themselves against the cold weather. Men and women also both began wearing the hats that are today commonly referred to as “Pilgrim Hats.” The only different being that women tended to weather feathers in theirs more often than the men did.

The 18th Century was a time of men wearing an outfit that most commonly consisted of stockings, buckled shoes, a shirt, waistcoat, and outer coat. They also began wearing thee-cornered hats. The women wore simple dresses, and had their hair often partially hidden by a white cap.

As the 19th 20th, and 21st centuries have shown, fashion trends are becoming history all the time, since trends are always evolving. Fashion history is indeed an immense topic that spans the entire world and every culture. So the next time you go clothes shopping, think about fashion history and how far fashion has come.
